Find the claims
Code splits the text into sentences. One Jev call asks, for every sentence at once, whether it is a factual claim that sources could confirm or refute. Opinions and questions are left out.

Search the web
Every claim is searched in parallel on Keenable’s independent index. A sentence that starts with “it” or “she” borrows the subject of the sentence before it.

Read the sources
The top pages are fetched and cut into passages. Code keeps the six that share the most rare words with the claim, at most two per site.

Judge and decide
One Jev call per claim asks how each passage relates to it, and how all of them do together. Code checks figures and dates, then applies the rules below.
A verdict reports what the sources say, not what is true
Sources can be wrong, out of date or copied from each other, and the search can miss a better one. When sources disagree, the result says so instead of picking a side. Low-confidence verdicts are flagged for a human look.
Jev is weak at arithmetic and date comparison, so figures are compared in code: a passage that seems to support a claim but lacks one of its numbers counts only as partial support. English text works best.
